FAQ: How to Send Pictures to the Website
Hi, folks!
You may have noticed the fancy new slideshow of images on the right side of the page. This is called a "Flickr Badge". It shows pictures from our new picture archive on Flickr, a photo sharing website. You can access the full archive here:

Having an archive of pictures will make it easy for people to see all of the great pictures and fun we collect over the years. Of course, we will continue to post pictures here on the website too!
So, how do you get your pictures onto the website and the archive? It's easy. All you need to do is email your pictures to wickliffepack11@gmail.com.
Read on for more tips and suggestions...
Do I need to resize pictures before sending them?
No. Go ahead and send the full-size images if you'd like. The email account can handle very large images and Flickr will automatically resize them when we send them over.
Do I need to send one email for each image?
No, but it would be nice to have one all of the images for a single event grouped in one email. For example, if you had pictures of a den meeting and pictures of a pack event (like the cake auction), it would be helpful to send two emails: one with the den meeting pictures and one with the cake auction pictures.
Do I need to name the images?
Not really, but it would be helpful to have a brief description of the event. In addition, if you do decide to name the images please do not include the names of scouts as we are trying to be very conscious of privacy concerns.
What other information should I include?
That's about it really. Just the pictures and the description. Posting the images on our side is as simple as forwarding the email over to our secret Flickr email account. Everything is automatic from that point forward, so please feel free to send as many pictures as you want! ;)
