November Pack Meeting 11/19 6:45PM

Hello Scouts-

The November Pack Meeting is on Thursday, November 19th at 6:45 in the Gym, and is the Pack service project. This year, we will have a food and coat drive.

Here is a list from the mid-ohio foodbank of most needed items: http://www.midohiofoodbank.org/pdfs/MOFB-Grocery-list.pdf

We will also collect gently used coats, mittens, gloves, blankets, etc. for donation to local charity.

Optional idea to potentially multiply your impact:

Attached to the email sent on 11/4 is a flyer announcing the Pack 11 "No Knock" food drive - if you like it, you and your scout could stuff in mailboxes around your neighborhood - basically it sets out a time when people can leave a food or coat donation on the doorstep and you pick it up without bugging them. It should take minimal time to distribute, then a quick trip around on the appointed day to see if it worked. If you like the idea for your neighborhood, feel free to reproduce it and use it at will (don't forget to modify it with your own specifics). In our neighborhood, we may also distribute a reminder note the day before the pickup if we have time.

From a scouting standpoint, not only a worthwhile activity, but it probably fits some requirements for any cub level, especially if they put in the time to distribute flyers.

The December Pack Meeting (Thursday Dec 17th) is tentatively planned as a summer beach party - bathing suits, sunglasses, beach balls, and maybe a summer camp presentation.

Other upcoming events:

Tiger Day - Sat Nov 7th - Fun filled activity morning for Tigers and their parents.

Beltloop Bonanza - Sat Dec 5th - This is an excellent event where your scout can earn 3 beltloops in a morning.
