Over $26,000 in popcorn sales to fund your scouts, the pack and council

3 Vans/trucks full of groceries and coats/blankets collected!

Over $700 in checks to the Mid Ohio Food Bank, meaning over $5600 in additional groceries can be distributed

Any additional contributions can be delivered here, 4497 Kipling, anytime (ASAP - we will deliver tomorrow and Tuesday).  Final totals to be announced next meeting.

2009 Popcorn Sale Information

Hi, folks.

Here's all you need to know!

Fun Begins with Popcorn!

Two ways to sell popcorn… Choose one or both!

1. Show & Deliver Sale

* Pick up popcorn at the Show & Deliver initial pick-up on Sept. 18 or 19. Exchange or replenish your popcorn supply as you go until Nov. 8!
* Have popcorn on hand to sell door-to-door. Deliver popcorn and collect money when you make the sale. This saves time!

2. Take-Order Sales

* Collect popcorn orders Sept. 19 – Nov.8.
* Take order form door-to-door and ask a parent to take an order form to work.
* Deliver popcorn and collect money in December.

Safety Tips

* Do not carry large amounts of money with you. Keep it at home or with an adult.
* Sell during daylight hours.
* Go with an adult.
* Stay at the front door when selling. Never go inside a house!

Selling tips

* Set a personal sales goal of $250. This will cover your annual dues.
* Wear your neat, clean uniform!
* Be courteous!
* Introduce yourself and state that you are selling popcorn to help pay for the fun things you are going to do in Scouting this year. Then ask if they would like to buy some or to make military donation. Say, “Thank you.”

2008 Popcorn Sale - FAQ and Other Information

POPCORN SALE/PICKUP TIMES: The popcorn sale begins on Saturday, 9/27. To sell popcorn using the "Show and Deliver" method (where boys sell, receive payment and deliver the popcorn all at the same time), you will need to pick up an initial supply of popcorn to sell. Popcorn pick/up will occur at the Hess home.

Upcoming popcorn pick-up times:

Friday, 9/26: 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Sunday, 9/28: 1:30-3:00 p.m.

Final Week for 2007 Popcorn Sale!

Hi, everyone. Just one more week for selling popcorn! For those of you doing both Show and Deliver and Take Order sales, you can give your separate Take Order form to Jennifer Jupp if you're dropping off popcorn or turning in Show and Deliver forms, and I'll get them from her (please make sure it's clearly marked as Take Order, so we don't order popcorn that's already been delivered!). For those of you doing Take Order sales only, I have some times set up when I will be home to accept orders at my house (see email).

• Fri. Nov. 2nd, 2-4 p.m.
• Sat. Nov. 3rd, 8:30-9:30 a.m. (at NW corner of Fancyburg park, corner of Swansea and Sunset, for soccer practice; if fields are closed due to rain, I will not be there; you can call ahead if the weather is questionable)
• Sun. Nov. 4th, 6-8 p.m.
• Mon. Nov. 5th, 7-9 p.m.

2006-10-25 Popcorn Update

[From Caryn Kanel and Lissa Wade - Pack 11 Popcorn Kernels]

This Saturday, Oct. 28th there will be no scheduled
time for popcorn exchanges/ replenishments. If anyone
wants more popcorn or wants to return any popcorn,
please call Caryn at 538-1867 to arrange a time to do
so.

Keep working on filling up a form (25 customers)! For
every form a scout completes, he earns a free ticket
to an OSU hockey game - 1 ticket per form!

We have plenty of popcorn for selling! However, we
are out of cheese popcorn and OSU tins. If you have
either of these items that you are planning to return,
please let Caryn know so she can arrange getting these
back. We will get more of these 2 products Sat.
morning. Order them ahead of time from Caryn to be
assured you get what you need from us!

Just to clarify the Pack Incentive for the top-selling
Den.. realizing some dens have more scouts than
others, we will average the sales over the number of
scouts in the den to determine the winner. All scouts
in the den will be counted, regardless if they choose
not to sell, as all scouts would receive the movie
passes!

Remember to turn in all forms from the Show & Deliver
part of the sale so you can qualify for prizes and
incentives! These forms, along with money and unsold
popcorn, are due Nov. 5 at 4 pm to Caryn. That means
you still have 2 solid weekends left to reach your
goals!!

All forms from Take Orders are due Friday, Nov. 10th
to your Den Leader, Lissa or Caryn. We do not need
money from these sales until Dec. 15th.

Dear Pack 11:

Just wanted to announce that the Lowe's times for this weekend are all
FILLED.

Also, Saturday 9 - noon is a pick-up time at Caryn Kanel's house if anyone
WANTS popcorn or needs to RETURN popcorn.

Update on the 2006 Popcorn Sale

Wow!! Cub Scout Pack 11 Rocks!

You have completely depleted supplies of some of the popcorn varieties! We were able to grab more over the weekend, except for the kettle corn and small caramel corn tins. The warehouse is even out! So, here is the plan…

If you want popcorn please call Caryn Kanel at 538-1867 to arrange a time to come over. Or, you can come Saturday 9 – noon during our already-scheduled exchange/replenishment time.

We are hoping to get more of the kettle corn and small caramel corn tins next Saturday at the warehouse. We do not have times that the warehouse is open on Saturday, but I expect it will be early in the day. If you want some of these items, please check back with us on Saturday.

If you have popcorn to return to us, please do so soon! Other scouts may be waiting for the popcorn you have! Either call to schedule a time to return it or come on Saturday morning.

Lastly, I have scheduled a time for scouts to sell in front of the Lowe’s at Mill Run this Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th. If you want to participate, call Caryn at 538-1867 to see if your desired time slot is still available.
- This is 1st come, 1st served.
- You must stay the entire time during your child’s shift – I will not be there.
- Your scout must wear his uniform! We will have popcorn and tables there.
- We are asking for 2 – 3 scouts with their parents for each shift.

If anyone has interest in selling in front of a store location, investigate the possibility and check with Caryn to be sure we have popcorn. We need a week’s notice so we can get more popcorn from the warehouse if needed!

Remember, if you don’t have popcorn, you can still take orders and tell your customers you will have their popcorn for them in about 2 weeks. You may have it sooner, but err on the side of caution! Then, schedule a time to come over and pick-up your customers’ popcorn. You can also just take orders and deliver it in December, as we have done every other popcorn sale.

Good Luck! I know we are going to smash our $11,000 sales goal! I also know of individual scouts who are having a lot of success and are so excited about earning the cool prizes! Thanks for making this a very successful popcorn sale!!
