September 25th - 4th Grade Webelos Meeting

From Jamie Doup:

4th Grade Webelos Meeting

Our parent meeting will be Monday, September 25th at Fanceyburg Park. Pizza will be provided at 6pm. The meeting will run 7-8pm. Feel free to bring the kids to play at the park.
There is a lot going on this year that I am excited to tell you all about. We have 3 new scouts joining our den this year, at least one den chief, and a Boy Scout Troop inviting us to campouts!

Hope you can come join the fun!

Webelos Kickoff the New Year!

From Jamie Doup:

We have a fun new year planned for you. Sarah Rice and I (Jamie Doup) would like to get together with all 4th grade WEBELOS and their parents (and new WEBELOS and parents) to plan out the new year.

This year is a different format then the Bear program. Parents are not required to attend the den meetings. We would like one parent to assist us both at each meeting, but parents do not have to stay if it is not their night to assist.

Please let Jamie know if Tuesday Sept 12th or 26th works for you. If not, please let me know which night of the week is better.

Our first meeting will be a pizza party at Fanceyburg park for the boys and their parents.

Hope to see you all there!

The Most Recent Den Meeting

By Alex Van Schoyck

At the most recent den meeting Clark Sturgill led Webelos den 4 in the Craftsman activity by cutting, gluing, sawing and much more until each scout had a corner shelf and a pinewood derby car holder with a name plaque.

Pinewood Derby

By Alex Van Schoyck

So far most of the den 4 scouts are in the painting or weighing stage of building their derby car. The scouts have fun with this activity every year.

Thanks, Alex Van Schoyck
